Afrinpost correspondent in the occupied Kurdish region of Afrin, north of Syria, said that the Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood continue to seize the properties of the indigenous people, by armed force and coercion.

In this context, he referred to the confiscation of two houses belonging to “Khalil Ali Jirrata” from the people of the “Ma’mala / Mamal Oshaghi” village, located in the vicinity of the Sharia Secondary School in Afrin center.

In the village of “Brimjah”, which is affiliated with the “Mobata / Mabtalli” district, the “Abu Tarab” group of the “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya” militia took over the house of “Yahya Ali” in the village, knowing that the Kurdish citizen resides in the city of Afrin, where the militia rented it to a family fleeing Idlib.

In the village of “Kubakie”, which belongs to the “Mobata / Ma’batalli” district, militants of “Liwa Al-Shama” militia took over the house of the Kurdish citizen “Mamo Kulual” and rented it to a fleeing family from Idlib, as he resides in the city of Afrin.

The incident is only a continuation of the ongoing robberies and seizures since the occupation of Afrin, where Islamic militias in most villages prevented many citizens from returning to their homes and properties after seizing them, on the pretext that they had become military headquarters for Islamic militias, or that settlers with families of the militants had settled there!

On the first of October 2019, the militia of the Sultan Murad Brigade expelled the wife of the late “Mohammed Dodikh” from her house in the town of “Shara / Sharan”, which is located two hundred meters from the Automatic Backery in the west, and confirmed the correspondent of “Afrinpost “After the expulsion of the 70 years old Kurdish elderly woman, who is alone in her home, the militia resided in a family of settlers who were linked to its armed men instead of it.

On December 26, 2019, militants of “Ahrar Al-Sharqiya” seized a Kurdish widow’s house in the city of Afrin and subsequently plundered its contents, and rented it to a fleeing family from Idlib. Afrinpost reporter stated that the group called “Abu Jandal” The militia took over the house of the Kurdish widow “Umm Walid” located in the Markaz al-Thaqafi neighborhood – behind the Afrin University building, adding that the militia plundered the entire contents of the house by two trucks, after giving a 24-hour deadline to the Kurdish citizen “Othman Kumji”, who had been renting it for about two years, to vacate the house, although the Kurdish widow lives in the village of “Kazeh”, in the district of Jenderes.

On the twenty-eighth of December, Afrinpost correspondent said that the militia of the “Levant Front” is breaking the locks and opening the doors of houses in the villages of (Brimetja-Qantari-Hassia-Shetika) affiliated to the “Mobata / Mabatali” district, despite the presence of their owners in the city of Afrin. Where they frequent it in order to serve their agricultural fields every period, as a result of the Islamic militias seeking to settle the fleeing families from Idlib countryside.

On January 6, Afrinpost reporter in Afrin center said that the “Al-Oso militia” affiliated with the “Shamiya Front” militia had expelled the elderly Kurdish citizen, Nabi Murad, 68, from his house in the Ashrafieh neighborhood, in the vicinity of Hamada Backery, and added that the Kurdish elderly was living alone in the house, and he was expelled from his home on the pretext that one of his sons belonged to the “People’s Protection Units”, even though he was displaced and residing in Aleppo, and the correspondent added that the gunmen inhabited a family coming from Idlib governorate in it, for monthly rent, $ 100.

The reporter also added that an armed man from Homs governorate works within the “Al-Mu’tasim Brigade” militia, seized two houses and a shop in the city center of Afrin, all belonging to the Kurdish citizen “Zuhair Faris” from the people of the “Mamala / Mamal Ushaghi district of Rajo district, west of Afrin region the reporter pointed out that the Kurdish citizen works as a fuel dealer in the Al-Hal market, while the Homsi militia intends to house his relatives in the two homes.

It is clear that the recent war of the regime and Russia was carried out in full coordination with the Turkish occupation, in order to push the people in Idlib to leave and go to settle in areas occupied by Turkey such as Afrin, “Tel Abyad / Gire Spi” and “Sere Kaniye / Ras Al-Ain”, and it can be likened to what is going on In Idlib, by the Turkish-Russian exchange, in which Afrin was sold by Russia, in exchange for Turkey giving up areas that were subject to its militias in the countryside of Damascus, Homs, Hama, and Idlib.

What is taking place is only a new way for the demographic change practiced by the Turkish occupation authorities, by forcing the residents of Idlib to leave to fill what it considers to be his safe area, which seeks from them to be a dagger in the back of the Self-Administration areas east of the Euphrates, in order to eliminate the historical presence of the Kurds in the northern Syria, and depriving the rest of the components of the rights that they acquired through “self-administration”.
