The Libyan National Army confirmed the arrival of more than 300 armed militants from the Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood from northern Syria to Tripoli, and indicated that for the first time, double suicide operations targeting its forces in Tripoli were foiled.
Terrorist elements from Idlib are likely to be behind planning and implementing them under Turkish patronage, which indicates, according to observers, that Libya may turn into a hotbed of terrorism that represents a threat to neighboring countries, including the countries of the northern West Bank (Europe).
The first batch of militants who were transferred from northern Syria to western Libya led by the leader in the militia, “Sultan Murad Brigade” called “Fahim Issa”, and includes gunmen from the militia of “the second legion” of the so-called “Syrian National Army” of the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood, and they belong to the militias of “Suqour al-Sham”, “Sultan Murad”, “Al-Mu’tasim Brigade” and “Al-Hamza Division”.
The militia of “Sultan Murad Brigade” is considered the most prominent militia belonging to Ankara in Syria, as it commands the orders of Ankara, which provides it with arms and funding, and was formed in March 2013, when it was then comprised of 1,300 armed men, and it currently includes several terrorist groups.
