Afrinpost -special

The living conditions of the remaining Kurdish citizens are exacerbated more and more in light of the fuel crisis that strongly affects all aspects of life in the occupied Afrin region, as well as in the light of thefts and violations affecting them by the militants of the Islamic militias affiliated with the Turkish occupation and the Muslim Brotherhood. T

he catastrophic effects of the high price of fuel in the regions occupied by Turkey in the Syrian north, and in Afrin in particular, citizens are exhausted and heavily burdened in light of the paralysis that has affected economic life as a result of the looting and theft of all the infrastructure of life.

The Kurdish citizen Ahmed says: “After the price of one liter of diesel reached about 800 Syrian pounds, many generators stopped, or are only partially operating for up to three hours per day only, where one ampere distributes 1500 Syrian pounds, that is, The Afrin family is now paying twelve thousand Syrian pounds per month for two of the electricity.

Ahmed adds: “What makes it worse is the turn off of water in the city of Afrin more than a month ago, due to the interruption of the main water pumping station in Maidanki Lake from work, as a result of the Turkish occupation ceasing to supply it with the electricity needed to operate it, which leads the population to bring in drinking water By tankers, which cost them at least 12 thousand Syrian pounds per month, as the price of 5 barrels of water is one thousand five hundred Syrian pounds.

Among the factors most depleting the financial ability are the thefts carried out by settlers and their sons, who are armed with Islamic militias known as the “Syrian National Army” affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, against the livelihoods and property of the people of the region.

In the Mahmudiyah neighborhood of Afrin, the armed group led by Ibrahim Abu Khalil in the “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” militia, which is from the town of al-Ashara in the countryside of Deir Ezzor, is very active in the area of thefts and the expulsion of the Kurdish population from their homes.

In this context, the Kurdish citizen, Sultana, says that the group called “Abu Khalil”, which is strongly supported by the Turkish intelligence, has turned the lives of the Kurdish residents in the Mahmudiyah neighborhood into hell.

Sultana explained that the “Ibrahim Abu Khalil” has a tool to break the locks of the commercial stores to carry out theft, as his group last week broke the lock of a clothing store in broad daylight, and stole all its contents without anyone dared to approach or object, in addition to stealing it Two cars belonging to Kurdish citizens in the vicinity of the Tishreen School in the same neighborhood.

Stressing that “the owner of the commercial store filed a complaint with the Turkish occupation authorities, but the latter asked him to prove the process of theft with video! This indicates the strong support for the so-called “Abu Khalil” by the Turkish intelligence.

The so-called Abu Khalil expelled many Kurdish families from their homes, and about a week ago he brought an ISIS family from Al-Ashara in Deir Ezzor countryside and lived in one of the apartments he seized.

Sultana Adds: “One of my wife, the ISIS, went out last night to the balcony of the house to shout announcing that she was ISIS and would detonate herself with the explosive belt that she was wearing, forcing the residents of the residential building to leave their homes, and the Turkish occupation soldiers subsequently entered and pulled them out of the house without knowing the reasons Leading up to it. ”

The merchant “Azad / a fake name ”, is one of those who had to re-engage in their commercial activities in the field of food trade after a long wait in light of diminishing decent living opportunities, lack of work opportunities and decent living, by forming a partnership with one of the gunmen so that he will be able to practice his work and protect himself and his property From kidnapping and theft of other militants.

Azad told “Afrinpost”: “Although I am protected from my partner, but despite this I cannot expand the scope of my commercial activity and bring in more goods in order not to draw the attention of the gunmen that my capital is large and has become a target for kidnapping.”

Many owners of factories, olive press factories, and other industrial establishments were kidnapped and paid huge amounts of money to save their lives from killing by the militants who had abducted the kidnapping under the guidance of the Turkish intelligence for a dual purpose. More comprehensive than is currently applied, for the benefit of Islamic settlers loyal to the Ankara government.
