Democratic Union Party Chairman Shahouz Hassan called on the United Nations to address the plans of the Turkish occupation leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan to change demographic in northern Syria.
In an interview with the Turkish (Ahwal) website, Hassan confirmed that Erdogan is waging a psychological war against the countries concerned with the situation in Syria.
He added: “He uses the refugees as a threat against Europe, in addition to that his country gave the Turkish identity to many refugees so that Erdogan can use their votes in the elections, and he is now taking advantage of the refugee situation to make a population change in Tel Abyad and Ras Al-Ain, similar to what the Turkish state has already done In Afrin. ”
Shahouz Hassan also addressed his speech to the United Nations and called on it to take a set of steps to confront Erdogan’s plans, saying: “It is necessary to realize that the policies of the occupation and demographic change in Syria .. Turkey should not be allowed or given the resources to implement these policies in Syria.”
He also stressed that the United Nations, through its silence and support for Erdogan’s plans, will be complicit in the actions of Erdogan’s demographic change, which is considered a crime according to international law, the United Nations should hold the perpetrators accountable, not be a part to it.
