Today, the city of Afrin is witnessing a major security alert, as the occupation militias (the Civilian Police and the Military Police) intensified the search of cars and citizens at the entrance to Jenderes, Newroz Roundabout and Kawa Roundabout.
Afrinpost correspondent at the center of the region said that the inspection operations affected even women’s bags, as the city is witnessing a security tension between the militia of “Al-Shamiya” on the one hand, and the Turkish occupation soldiers on the other hand in the city.
The correspondent noted that the militia had worked during the past two days to evacuate three of its headquarters in the Ashrafieh neighborhood without knowing the cause of tension, but information is likely to be due to the possibilities of the Russian military police enter, according to a Turkish-Russian agreement, to the city of Afrin at the beginning of next year.
