Afrinpost – Special
The “Afrinpost” reporter at the occupied Kurdish region center said that a joint patrol of the Turkish occupation intelligence and the “civilian police” militia launched campaigns surrounding the arrest and arrests of the remaining Kurdish citizens in the city center.
The reporter stated that the patrol is moving in its campaign according to the nominal regulations that include the names of wanted persons from the Turkish occupation intelligence, which directly supervises the raid and arrest operations.
The reporter confirmed that the campaign focused today in the ancient district of Afrin and Villas Street in search of wanted persons, and it is not known whether anyone was arrested or not.
Noting that a similar campaign carried out by the Turkish occupation authorities in the Mahmudiyah and Ashrafieh neighborhood resulted in the arrest of four Kurdish citizens in the Mahmudiyah neighborhood, and the arrest of a well-off settler in Ashrafieh, while the reporter was unable to document the names of the detainees.
Islamic militias rely on kidnapping as a means of obtaining money, which is one of the methods it has followed since the occupation applied to Afrin, while the Turkish occupation supervises these operations as one of the methods of displacing the Kurds and preventing the displaced from returning.
