The sheep of the settlers are in the Kurds fields without any deterrent

AFRINPOST- Exclusive

The settlers who came to Afrin/Rojava, accompanied by gunmen of the Islamic militias of the Turkish occupation, continued their constant violations against the people and nature, exploiting the power they have under the domination of the occupying forces.

In this context, the correspondent of the AFRINPOST in the area of Shera/Şera east of Afrin/Rojava, said that settlers in the Nabi Hori district harass and bypass the population through their cattle. Adding that the settlers brought with them thousands of cattle, estimated number is more than 10,000 heads (expected to be stolen from Afrin/Rojava during the invasion), where they take care of them within the agricultural lands and Olive fields owned by the indigenous Kurds, without regard to rights.

He pointed out that the cattle were grazing there randomly without the people being able to confront the settlers, being predominantly of the families of the gunmen of the Islamic militias and having extensive power.

On February.19.2018 the Islamic militias and the Turkish occupation forces declared their occupation of the villages of Eki Dam/îkîdamê, Shel Tahte/Şîltehtê and Marso belonging to the area of Shera/Şera, as well as the occupation of the castle “Nabi Hori” and “the Roman Bridge” and the surrounding hills in the area.

During the Turkish invasion of Afrin/Rojava, many archaeological sites were subjected to air raids and deliberate destruction, including the site of the Ayn Dar, the Nabi Hori, the site of Barad Archaeological, the ruins of the area of Kherabi Shara/Xirabî Şera, the Church of Albaski, religious shrines along Afrin, tombs and shrines of some Kurdish symbols.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on October.02.2018 a video recording showing and excavations searching, and the scenes showed bulldozers and machines affiliated with the Islamic militias doing excavation work next to the Prophet Hori archaeological site, in order to search for antiquities and steal it.
