On this day 28-1-2018 Turkish warplanes launched an air raid on the site of the ancient Ein Dara hill in the south of Afrin city and destroyed 50% space of the temple, which dates back to the first millennium BC, Archaeological sites in the region, such as the sites of Taqelke/Teqilkê, Brad, Nabi Hori(Cyrrhus)/Nebî Horî and others.
The archaeological sites in the region are still being looted and systematically destroyed because the Islamic militias are digging and bulldozing with heavy machinery in search of archaeological treasures and destroying what remains of them in order to change the face of the civilized region.
