In a new escalation against civilians in northern Aleppo, Turkish forces shelled the village of Halisa in Shahba region on Sunday, November 24. The attack resulted in the death of a civilian and injuries to three children of varying severity.
According to our correspondent, the victim was identified as Mohammed Arif Haj Mahmoud, 40 years old, originally from Jindires in Afrin.
The children who were injured in the shelling include: Murad Mohammed Haj Mahmoud, 14 years old, Rosil Mohammed Khalaf, 13 years old, whose condition is critical due to severe injuries, and Hussein Mohammed Hassan Khalaf, 9 years old.
The injured children were transported to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.
This incident is part of the repeated attacks by Turkish forces on populated areas, which continue to exacerbate the suffering of residents in Shahba region. These targeted assaults further highlight the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the region.
