A 42-year-old civilian, Haytham Abdul Rahman Issa, succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday evening at Afrin Hospital in Fafin village, located in the Shahba region north of Aleppo. According to our correspondent, Issa was critically injured earlier in the day when Turkish forces and affiliated Syrian militias shelled residential areas in Aqiba village, Sherawa sub-district, southeastern Afrin.
The correspondent reported that the shelling, which directly targeted civilian homes, inflicted severe injuries on Issa and caused extensive damage to civilian properties, including homes and vehicles. Despite the efforts of medical staff, Issa passed away later that evening.
This selling is as part of an ongoing campaign of shelling and aggression by Turkish forces and their allied factions under the Syrian National Army (SNA). The attacks have left residents in the region living in constant fear, with continued damage to infrastructure and livelihoods.
