Our correspondent reported that militants, under the supervision of the so-called “Economic Office of the Sultan Murad Division” led by Adnan Al-Khwailed (known as Abu Walid Al-Ezza), looted olive harvests on Wednesday and Thursday from fields belonging to citizens Mohammad Hamo, Hussein Ali, Hassan Ali, Jihad Ismail, and Mohammad Rasho in Simalka village, Mabeta/Meabtali sub-district.
Additionally, other militants affiliated with Abu Walid Al-Ezza near Augeh village, Bulbul sub-district, stole 60 sacks of olives (approximately 90 kg each) from about 200 trees owned by Jamil Aref, and 34 sacks from 100 trees owned by Mohammad Aref.
When the victims filed a complaint at the “Economic Office,” they were asked to provide proof of ownership. Despite bringing the required documents from Aleppo, no action was taken, leaving them without any restitution for their stolen crops.
This systematic theft highlights the persistent exploitation and disregard for the rights of Afrin’s residents under militia control.
