Our correspondent reported that on Monday afternoon, November 14, militants from the “Joint Forces” (comprising the Sultan Suleiman Shah and Hamza militias), residing near the water tank in Al-Ashrafieh neighborhood, Afrin, used electric saws to cut down seven olive trees owned by Khalil Hesso near the eastern Tarfik Road.
Additionally, on Tuesday, November 15, militants from the “Al-Mu’tasim Brigade” felled 25 olive trees belonging to Nidal Ali Ahmed from Qara Tabah village in Sharan sub-district, along with eight cypress trees near the Afrin River, opposite the Jin Café in Afrin city.
In another incident, the day before, a militant stole a car battery, tools, and electrical components from a vehicle owned by Yusuf Mohammed of Gundi Mazen village, parked outside his home in Afrin city.
These events are part of ongoing violations by armed groups in Afrin, targeting civilian livelihoods and properties with impunity.
