Our correspondent reports that the Political Police Division in Afrin detained a citizen last Wednesday, November 13, in yet another instance of arbitrary arrests in the region.
The detainee, identified as Jiwan Mohammad Hamid (born 1989), a resident of Jindires, was reportedly apprehended while visiting the transportation office to register a vehicle. Despite complying with all legal procedures, Jiwan was taken into custody without any explanation or official charges and remains under arbitrary detention.
