Our correspondent reported the death of Sakinah Ibrahim today, Thursday, October 24, after succumbing to injuries sustained during a Turkish bombardment that targeted residential areas in Tal Rifaat, northern Aleppo, the previous evening. This brings the total number of deaths from the attack to five. The victims are as follows:

  1. Ibrahim Muhammad Kolin Sheikho, 55, from Qasim village, Rajo.
  2. Sakinah Ibrahim, 52, wife of Ibrahim Gulin Muhammad.
  3. Kurdistan Khalil Waqas, 33, from Kafr Safra, Jindires.
  4. Malak Shiyar Hambasho, 5, daughter of Kurdistan, from Maabatli.
  5. Muhammad Waqfi Muhammad, 47, from Juman village, Sharan.

Yesterday, Turkish shelling extended to include the village of Harbel in northern Aleppo and the village of Aqiba in Shirawa, Afrin. The shelling caused significant material damage to civilian properties. In Aqiba, one of the shells struck the home of Sami Osman Taleb, resulting in severe damage to his property.

In addition to the attack on Tal Rifaat, Turkish forces targeted several other villages in northern Aleppo today, including Sha’ala, Umm Hosh, Harbel, and Sheikh Issa, as well as the outskirts of Tal Rifaat.

In response to this escalation, the Afrin Liberation Forces successfully downed a Turkish drone over the village of Maranaz in the Sharan sub-district of Afrin and targeted positions of the Turkish-backed “Syrian National Army” militias along the Tell Malid and Sayyid Ali axes near Marea.

This escalation comes amidst ongoing aggression by Turkish forces and their allied militias, while the Afrin Liberation Forces continue to resist these attacks, with civilian casualties on the rise.
