Our correspondent reports that the “Military Police” militia today detained Muhammad Walid Hassan, a 58-year-old agricultural nursery owner from the village of Barka in the Mabeto/Maabatli sub-district.
The correspondent clarified that Hassan’s arrest followed his submission of a formal complaint against an IDP from the town of Ritan in northern Aleppo, who had seized four of Hassan’s houses near the Afrin River along the Taranda road, south of Afrin.
This incident underscores the ongoing challenges for local residents as they struggle to reclaim properties occupied by militias and IDPs amid limited legal recourse.
