Our correspondent reported that on Thursday, September 19, the “Military Police in Afrin” militia released citizen “Faisal Khalil, 45 years old” and his son from the village of “Chaqala” in the Şiyê/Sheikh al-Hadid sub-district, in exchange for a ransom of five thousand dollars.
“Faisal” and his son were arrested on February 8, 2024 from their home in Al-Ashrafieh neighborhood in the city of Afrin, on the pretext that the father was a member of a commune in the neighborhood. The cfather and his son remained detained in the “police” prison for more than seven months without being brought to trial.
