Militia Abducts Two Civilians Following Turkish Deportation

afrinpost-Exclusive

Our private sources reported that the Turkish-allied “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya” militia in Azaz has abducted two civilians: Mohammed Nur Al-Farouq (33 years old) from Sanamein and Hamza Fahid (45 years old) from Jasim city in rural Daraa, on April 12th, after they were deported by Turkish authorities through the Bab al-Salama border crossing between Syria and Turkey.

“Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya” has demanded a ransom of $1500 from the families of the abducted civilians, accusing them of communicating with the Syrian regime for reconciliation and returning to Daraa province.

It’s worth noting that the aforementioned militia regularly abducts civilians and displaced individuals from Turkish territories via the Bab al-Salama crossing, seeking financial ransom. Last week, seven Syrian refugees faced a similar fate when they were abducted for refusing to pay a fee of 3500 Turkish liras each. They were only released after paying the demanded amount.
