Militants Cut Down Olive Trees in Afrin; IDPs’ Livestock Damage Orchards

Armed individuals affiliated with the Mawali tribe, on April 13, cut down 40 olive trees near the village of Kokan in Mobata district, belonging to citizen “Mohammed Sabri” in the occupied Afrin countryside.

In another incident, IDPs, known to be affiliated with the “Suqour Al-Sharqiya” militia, are tending their livestock in the olive fields between the villages of Avraz and Kubak in Mobata/Maabatli district, causing damage to the trees.

The owners of the fields, citizens “Mohammed Ma’mou, Walid Ma’mou, Ahmed Alou, and Mohammed Hamou,” filed a complaint at a checkpoint of the “Auqour Al-Sharqiya” militia near “Bakr” tank station in Mobata, but to no avail.
