Turkish Militias Continue Arbitrary Cutting of Olive and Fruit Trees in Afrin

afrinpost – Exclusive

The indiscriminate cutting of fruitful and timber trees by Turkish-backed armed militias persists, with the latest assault on private properties resulting in the destruction of more than 81 olive trees, according to our sources.

In detail, militants chopped down 35 olive trees along the secondary road connecting Kokabe and Tellef – in the Jindires district, despite the presence of their owner, citizen “Abdulhamid Al-Salem,” a native of Arab Afrin, in his home in the city of Afrin.

In the Sharan district, militants from the “Malekshah” militia felled over 46 olive trees scattered across several fields located between the Sharan town and Matina village. Notable among these were seven trees from Esamet Khalil’s field, four trees from Aabdeen Omar’s field, nine trees from Sabhi Othman’s field, 12 trees from Hanan Rahman’s field, nine trees from Imad Rahman’s field, and five trees from Mohammed Othman Jaman’s field.
