Turkish intelligence arrested a citizen and another IDP on charges of dealing with the former Autonomous Administration in Afrin, while the latter was released, with the former still held in arbitrary detention.
In detail, our reporter in Afrin said that Turkish intelligence arrested citizen “Sobhi Ibrahim Ahmed” (48 years old) from Jindires on the road to Tel Sallour village. He works as a street vendor in a car at the market in the occupied town of Jindires.
It’s worth noting that citizen “Sobhi” was a teacher in one of the schools in Jindires before the Syrian war. He fled the city towards Aleppo following the occupation of Afrin in 2018 and returned to his village about seven months ago.
Two days ago, on February 8, Turkish intelligence arrested “Imad Haj Jasem” (32 years old) from the Al-Oweijeh area in rural Aleppo, in Al-Ashrafieh neighborhood of the occupied city of Afrin to release him later after paying a fine of one thousand dollars. It is worth mentioning that “Imad” was a member of the group led by “Naeem,” affiliated with the “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya” militia in Afrin.
