Our correspondent reports that an armed Turkish drone attempting to target certain points in the forest near the village of Soghnake in the Sherawa sub-district of Afrin was successfully shot down today, January 15.
In a related development, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) retaliated against Turkish forces by firing more than 20 rocket shells at their bases in the villages of Qirata and Beldaq in the southern countryside of Jarabulus. This response comes in reaction to the Turkish forces targeting the village of Zor Magar in the Kobani countryside, east of Aleppo, with artillery.
On another front, the Syrian regime forces shelled positions held by the “Hayat Tahrir al-Sham” organization in the axis of Qasr, Kafrtaal, Taqad, and Tadil in the western countryside of Aleppo, using heavy artillery and rocket launchers. No information about casualties has been reported.
