Our correspondent reported that an armed individual affiliated with the “Al-Jabha al-Shamiya” militia, identified as “Mohammed Shobak,” engaging in the sale and rental of multiple commercial properties in occupied Afrin. Notably, this activity persists alongside a growing trend of private transport theft in the region.
In a specific incident, “Mohammed Shobak” facilitated the sale of citizen “Abdul Rahman Abdo’s” shop in Rajo Street, Afrin, to an IDP from Damascus for $2500. This individual has reportedly taken control of over seven shops in Afrin, leasing them for personal gain. Among these properties are shops owned by Kurdish citizens, including those of “Aref Hannan,” “Ibrahim Hannan,” “Mohammed Bahjat,” and “Isam Bakr.”
While in the morning of January 3, a Hyundai car, model 1997, owned by citizen “Mohammed Ali Youssef” from the Rajo district, was stolen while he was visiting relatives in Al-Mahmoudiya neighborhood near the livestock market entrance in Afrin city.
