Our correspondent reported that Turkish bases near the National Hospital in the city of Azaz, the Shatt checkpoint on the Afrin-Azaz road, and the villages of Sijaraz and Kiljabrin in the countryside of Azaz, northern Aleppo, were heavily targeted today, January 17. There is currently no information about human casualties.
The shelling also reached Turkish bases located in the villages of Al-Kfeir, Al-Azraq, Hizwan, Daghlbash, and Umm Al-Zindeen in the countryside of Al-Bab, eastern Aleppo, and the surroundings of the city of Mare’ in northern Aleppo.
Our correspondent explained that this intense shelling comes in response to the Turkish forces targeting the surroundings of the city of Tell Rifaat and the villages of Maraanaz, Al-Malikiyah, and Shwargha in the Sharan district of Afrin countryside.
