In a blatant display of ongoing violations against Kurdish citizens in the occupied region of Afrin, an IDP originally from the Damascus Ghouta region, identified as Hani Abu Bakr, steadfastly refuses to evacuate the residence of Mohamed Mustafa in the village of Haj Qasim, located in the Mobata district of Afrin.
Hani Abu Bakr, a former member of the “Jaish al-Islam” militia, has seized control of the four-unit house in the occupied city of Afrin. While residing in one unit, he has leased the remaining three apartments to his relatives at a monthly rate of $40 each.
Despite obtaining an order from the military police militia in Afrin for the recovery of his property, Mohamed is facing staunch resistance from the former militant Abu Bakr.
