On January 20th, the Afrin Liberation Forces targeted Turkish bases in the villages of Dabiq and Kaljibrin in the northern Aleppo countryside with intensive rocket strikes. This marks the sixth anniversary of the Turkish “Olive Branch” operation on the occupied Afrin region on January 20, 2018.

According to “afrinpost” correspondent, more than 10 rockets were launched by the Afrin Liberation Forces, most of which hit the military bases belonging to the Turkish forces. Smoke columns rose from the military base located in the village of Kaljibrin, amid reports of casualties among Turkish forces.

Simultaneously, Russian warplanes flew over the occupied city of Afrin and the western countryside of Aleppo. This occurred as the Syrian regime’s army targeted positions of the “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham” organization on the Ftaireh axis in the southern Idlib countryside.
