On December 30, Turkish intelligence forces arrested 34-year-old citizen “Mohammed Hanif Muslim” from the village of Ain Ain al-Hajar. The arrest took place at his residence near Osama Mosque in Al-Mahmudiya neighborhood of the occupied city of Afrin.
According to our reporter, Muslim is accused of being a former employee of the previous Autonomous Administration, even though he was forcibly displaced to Aleppo and returned to Afrin about two months ago.
This arrest aligns with the Turkish intelligence’s policy to tighten control over the return of Kurdish citizens to Afrin, treating the matter as a security issue.
Earlier on December 5, Turkish forces arrested 53-year-old citizen “Adnan Mohammed Allo” from the lower district of Jindires, accusing him of arms trafficking during the period of the previous Autonomous Administration in Afrin.
Adnan had been forcibly displaced from Afrin for over five and a half years, returning from the town of Fafin in the Shahba region to the city of Jindirez. He was released after two days of detention.
