Our correspondent in Afrin reported that the armed militias linked to Ankara have ruthlessly felled approximately 90 olive and pomegranate trees in the occupied outskirts of Afrin. This alarming trend is accompanied by a disturbing pattern of home theft, involving the use of a narcotic spray on unsuspecting residents.
According to the correspondent, on the night of December 7th, perpetrators cut down 75 trees owned by “Ahmed Omar” from Tal Hamo village. The pretext used was that these trees were deemed state property, specifically agricultural reform trees.
In addition, 15 pomegranate trees near the historic Ain Dara hill were severed on December 11th. These trees belonged to citizen “Mohammed Juma.”
Simultaneously, in a separate incident, the residence of citizen “Omar Ali” from Qujuman village, near the Marate roundabout, was a target for an armed robbery. The assailants employed a narcotic spray to incapacitate the homeowners, making off with three mobile phones, a valuable gold artifact, a television screen, and a laptop.
