In the early hours of November 30, a woman from the Bani Zeid neighborhood lost her life, and her daughter suffered severe injuries during clashes between the Turkish border guard (Turkish Gendarmerie) and smugglers affiliated with the “Ahrar al-Sham Islamic Movement” near the Al-Fajr camp on the Syrian-Turkish border in the northern Aleppo countryside.

Our correspondent reported that armed members of the “Ahrar al-Sham” attempted to smuggle individuals into Turkish territory, leading to confrontations with the Turkish Gendarmerie. Following the clashes, armed individuals sought refuge within the tents of the camp’s residents.

However, Turkish Gendarmerie forces directly targeted the tents, resulting in the tragic death of a woman and severe injuries to her daughter. Several tents and water tanks were damaged, causing panic and distress among the camp’s inhabitants.

This incident follows recent fatalities involving Turkish Gendarmerie forces, including the deaths of a young man and a child, and the torture of a third individual attempting to cross the border through smuggling routes. These attempts are part of a broader pattern, aiming to enter Turkish territory and subsequently reach Europe.
