The Mawali tribe issues a written statement on November 16, urging civilians to distance themselves from the leaders “Abu Sakhr Demo” and “Abu Ghazi Al-Hamwi.” The tribe has added the names of these leaders to its wanted list, designating them as “legitimate targets” for its IDPs and armed forces, holding the “Amashat” militia accountable for the consequences of the escalating situation.
Expressing dissatisfaction and anger, the IDPs of the Mawali tribe criticize “Abu Amsha,” the leader of “al-Amashat” militia, for refusing to surrender the mentioned leaders to the court in Afrin. They dismiss his disregard for the decisions made by the tribal leaders, which mandate handing over those involved in the attacks to the IDPs in the Bayader camp in the Mobata/Ma’batli district of the occupied Afrin.
On November 15, armed members of the Mawali tribe threatened retaliation in their own way against those involved in the assault on IDPs in the Bayader camp in the Mobata/Ma’batli district. This follows the expulsion by the “Suleiman Shah/Amashat” militia on November 12 of several IDPs from the Shaboot clan (a branch of the Mawali tribe) from the Bayader camp on the outskirts of the town of Mobata/Ma’batli. The militia brutally attacked their women and elders during the confrontations while attempting to apprehend one of their wanted individuals.
