In a recent development, Turkish intelligence apprehended two citizens, “Sulaiman Ismail” (27 years old) from the village of Baflor in Jindires sub-district, and “Idris” from the village of Chaqmaqa in Rajo. The arrests followed Sulaiman’s return from Aleppo, where he had resided for the past five years after being forcibly displaced from Afrin. His return was marked by his pursuit of his father’s seized properties in the occupied city of Afrin.
Sulaiman’s quest focused on two commercial properties located on Rajo road in Afrin city, one of which had been occupied by an IDP originally from Hayan in Aleppo countryside, while the other was taken over by an IDP originally from Darat Azza. Additionally, he aimed to regain a residential building comprising seven apartments that had been seized by IDP hailing from Hayan, a town in the western Aleppo countryside.
However, Turkish intelligence authorities took action by arresting him in the company of fellow citizen Idris. This arrest took place at Idris’s residence near the Sheikh Shawakh Mosque in the old city of Afrin. After several hours, Idris was subsequently released, whereas Sulaiman remains in detention.
