On October 29th, a Turkish military drone targeted a position held by the Syrian government forces in the vicinity of Sherawa, a sub-district near Afrin. The drone strike involved a rocket, and although specific details about the extent of the damage are yet to be confirmed, it was carried out amid intense reconnaissance flights by Turkish military aircraft in the region.

In a related development, three individuals lost their lives as a result of heavy artillery shelling and rocket attacks by Syrian government forces on positions held by the “Hayat Tahrir al-Sham” organization in the western Aleppo countryside in the areas of Kafr Taal, Malaja, and Kafr Awid in the southern Idlib countryside.

These incidents occurred in retaliation for a recent violent attack by the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham organization on a Syrian government army unit. This unit was stationed at the Kassab al-Rabiya axis in the Latakia countryside, resulting in the death of a Syrian army officer during the attack.
