In a devastating onslaught, the Syrian regime’s army unleashed a barrage of rocket and heavy artillery fire, resulting in the tragic loss of approximately 20 lives, including children and women. This merciless shelling struck 50 towns and villages across the provinces of Idlib, Hama, Aleppo, and Latakia.
The relentless bombardment targeted major cities, including Idlib, as well as towns and villages like Ariha, Sarmin, Jisr al-Shughour, Bdama, Hambooshia, Hallouz, Ghassaniyeh, Za’eeniyeh, Al-Neirab, Afes, Ma’arat al-Nu’man, Qaminas, Al-Bara, Mintaaf, Kafr Awid, Mozerah, Kansafra, Binnish, Rweihah, Ma’arzaf, Kfar Lata, and many more in Idlib’s countryside.
Additionally, the shelling targeted areas in northern Hama countryside, including Sarmania, Dweir al-Akrad, al-Qarqur, al-Msheik, al-Ziyara, Tel Waset, al-Mansoura, Khirbat al-Naqous, al-Qahira, al-Ankawi, and Sahl al-Ghab. In the western Aleppo countryside, the violence reached Kfar Ama, Kfar Ta’al, al-Qasr, al-Wasatah, al-Tawamah, al-Atarib, Kfar Nuran. In Latakia’s northern countryside, the localities affected included Kabeenah and Turdeen.
This devastating wave of attacks prompted a mass exodus of residents from Idlib, Tramaneen, Atarib, Darat Azza, heading towards the occupied Afrin and Sarmada, escaping the most intense artillery and missile barrage the region has witnessed in years.
