Ongoing Turkish Shelling on Northern Aleppo Villages

afrinpost-Exclusive

The villages of Sha’ala and Nairabiya in the Shahba region of northern Aleppo were subjected to artillery shelling carried out by Turkish forces stationed at the Kefir base in the eastern countryside of Aleppo. This shelling resulted in damage to civilian properties.

In response, the Afrin Liberation Forces retaliated by shelling the military base, and the extent of the damage is currently unknown.

In a related development, the Syrian government’s army continues its shelling of positions held by the “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham” organization on the fronts of the Sahl al-Ghab and the western countryside of Aleppo. This is in response to the organization’s earlier attacks on government positions using heavy artillery and mortar shells on the fronts of Jabal al-Zawiya in the southern countryside of Idlib.
