On the evening of September 3rd, Turkish forces, along with the Syrian National Army militias, conducted heavy artillery shelling in the vicinity of the villages of Tanab, Kashtaar, Meng Military Airport, Shawarga, and Mar’anaz in the Shara sub-district. There is no information available regarding the extent of the damage at this moment.
In a related development, Russian warplanes carried out three airstrikes on positions held by the “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham” organization along the Balshoon quarry axis and two airstrikes west of the city of Ahsem in the southern countryside of Idlib. This coincided with artillery shelling by the Syrian regime forces, using heavy artillery and rocket launchers, targeting the village of Kafr Aweed in the Idlib countryside.
