Intense hostilities erupted on the evening of September 9th, pitting the Afrin Liberation forces against the Turkish-backed Al-Hamza Division militia along the Khazwan axis in the occupied al-Bab region of eastern Aleppo, within the Aleppo governorate. These clashes involved a substantial exchange of artillery fire between the two opposing factions.
In a separate incident, confrontations ensued between the Afrin Liberation forces and the Syrian National Army militia along the Maranaz axis within the Sharan sub-district of Afrin. Notably, these conflicts coincided with the Turkish forces subjecting the village to intense artillery shelling.
Moreover, on the preceding Saturday, Afrin Liberation forces announced the successful execution of an infiltration operation targeting Turkish forces in the region situated between the villages of Kimar and Barad within the Sharan sub-district of occupied Afrin, an operation carried out on September 7th.
