In a recent development, our sources reported that Turkish authorities in the Jindires subdistrict have initiated a campaign of arrests targeting the youths in the village of Jalameh. The charges are pre-fabricated and pertain to alleged dealings with the previous Autonomous Administration in the occupied region of Afrin. This crackdown even extends to youths who were forcibly displaced from Turkish territory.

Details reveal that on June 24, 2023, the military police militia in Jindires arrested four citizens: Mohammad Mustafa Banfasha (30 years old), Abdul Rahman Hussein Alako (35 years old), Khaled Rasoul Kal Khalo (28 years old), and Jumaa Mustafa Awan (27 years old). They are accused of having connections with the previous Autonomous Administration in Afrin.

According to sources, Abdul Rahman Alako and Khaled Rasoul Khalo were released after paying fines, while Mohammad Banfasha and Jumaa Awan remain in detention.

On August 7, 2023, Turkish intelligence and the military police arrested four more citizens: Mohammad Mohammad Tobal (45 years old), Mohammad Ahmed Said (30 years old), Hameed Mustafa Khalil (30 years old), and Khaled Mohammad Kal Khalo (28 years old). These individuals were previously deported by Turkish authorities, despite holding temporary residency cards in Turkey.

It’s noteworthy that most of these young individuals had previously been arrested on the same charges, namely dealing with the previous Autonomous Administration in Afrin.

On August 10, citizens Farhad Faik Hamoush (45 years old), Jumaa Mohammad, Mustafa Mohammad Julagh (26 years old), and another individual from the Kaddo family were arrested. They were among those deported by Turkish authorities, despite holding temporary residency cards in Turkey for an extended period.
