Turkish-backed Militants Engage in Illegal Sale of Seized Houses in Afrin

Our correspondent in Afrin reported that IDPs affiliated with Turkish-backed militias have been involved in the illegal sale of three houses seized from their Kurdish owners in the occupied city of Afrin.

In detail, on July 4th, an IDP from the town of Ritan in the countryside of Aleppo sold the house of citizen “Khalil Omar” from the village of Maratê/Ma’ratah, located in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood, to a member of the “Hamzat” militia named “Mohammed Arabash” for a sum of $900.

Furthermore, an IDP from Homs named “Abu Abdo Al-Homsi” sold two houses in al-Ashrafieh neighborhood near the Zohour Real Estate Office in the industrial area. These houses belonged to the brothers “Mohammed Haider and Omar Haider” from the village of Qarah Tabbah. The transaction was carried out for a total of $2,500.

Additionally, an IDP from Eastern Ghouta sold four apartments/houses located in the Hakim Building on the Trenda road in the occupied city of Afrin to three IDPs from the Qalamoun region. Each apartment was sold for $1,000. The ownership of these apartments belongs to citizen “Mohammed Musa” from the village of Meydana, in the Rajo sub-district.
