The Turkish-backed SNA groups in Afrin region continue to fabricate charges and use false pretexts to arrest Kurdish citizens, most of which revolve around working with the former autonomous administration or with external entities, in an attempt to tighten their grip on the Kurdish population in the occupied Afrin region.
Local sources reported that the military police militia in the town of Rajo arrested two Kurdish citizens, Adham Murad Salman (50 years old) and Abdul Qadir Osman Rashid, from their home in the village of Haj Khalil in Rajo sub-district, yesterday, Saturday May 6, under the pretext of filming video clips and sending them to the media.
afrinpost documented 38 cases of arrests and abductions during April 2023, including 30 cases involving citizens from the people of Afrin, including a woman and three minors, in addition to the arrest of a citizen with four children on Turkish territory and the arrest of a male and female citizen in Aleppo. Fourteen cases of release were also documented.
