In a recent development, sources in Afrin have reported that Turkish intelligence forces have arrested Wahid Hanan, a member of the Kurdish Independent League, from his residence located near the current Local Council headquarters (formerly Afrin University) in the occupied city of Afrin.
Wahid Hanan, aged 58 and hailing from the village of Jwaiq in the central district, was taken into custody by Turkish authorities, while the reasons behind his arrest remain undisclosed at this time.
This incident follows the recent arrest of Sido Hussein bin Abdulrahman, 55, a resident of Qara Gul village in the Bulbul sub-district, who was also detained on charges of membership in the previous Autonomous Administration.
