A number of civilians, including children, have been injured by indiscriminate gunfire in the occupied city of Afrin, following the electoral victory of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
According to our reporter in the city, intermittent clashes erupted among IDPs loyal to Turkey in the Al-Mahmoudiya neighborhood of Afrin city after four IDPs, including a child, were wounded. The child’s relatives engaged in a confrontation with the gunmen, causing panic among the civilian population due to heavy gunfire within residential areas of the occupied city of Afrin.
In addition, three civilians were injured in the city of Azaz and the Sajo camp as a result of intense gunfire. Local residents have called for the intervention of the military police and the national army to arrest the perpetrators of the gunfire within residential areas.
