Al-Hamzat Leaders Sell 5 Hectares of Land Illegally in Afrin, Despite Local Protests

afrinpost– Exclusive

Reliable sources reported that several leaders of the Turkish-affiliated “Hamza Brigade/Al-Hamzat” militia have sold a 5-hectare piece of land approximately a year and a half ago, for a sum of $5,500, in the village of Atmana, in the occupied Rajo countryside of Afrin.

Three leaders of the “al-Hamzat” militia sold a piece of agricultural land located west of Atmana village, known by the villagers as “Sari Hairk”, despite a court decision confirming its ownership to the villagers.

The first seller is called “Hazem Mura’i Abu Omar”, a military commander holding the position of deputy, originally from Hazarin town in Idlib, and residing in the villa of “Ameed Haider” in Haj Khalil village, in Rajo district.

The second seller is “Yazeed Bishkawi Abu Ahmad”, the security official for the “Al-Hamzat” in Rajo district, and the head of the security center based in the house of “Hajj Rashid Jabbieh” in Atmana village. He is originally from Maarat al-Numan in Idlib and resides in the house of the deceased “Nadeem Yousef” in the same village.

The third seller is “Wael Saeed Abu Saeed”, holding the position of deputy to the leader “Yazeed Bishkawi” in the security center, and residing in the house of “Fakhri Bilal Hama” in the same village.

The land was bought by “Ahmed Mu’amu Bin Omar” from the village of Banikeh, in Rajo district, through the mediation of the former local council head of Rajo district, called “Fadel Horo Qarah Bag”, because the buyer is a relative and has a share of the amount.

It is worth mentioning that the people of Atmana village have objected and complained to the security of the “Al-Hamza Brigade” militia, but to no avail.
