3 IDPs hurt in camp food fight; Military police nab dog meat seller in Afrin

Three IDPs were injured in a knife fight that erupted over a dispute about the distribution of food at the Al-Bazaar camp, while the military police militia apprehended an IDP from the Ghouta area of Damascus who was selling meat from stray dogs in Afrin, northern Syria.

According to our reporter in the city, a knife fight broke out on Monday, March 3, during “Ramadam Iftar” near a camp located behind Al-Bazaar Square in the city of Afrin, as a result of a disagreement over the distribution of free Ramadan bread “Maarouk” to the IDPs living in the camp. Three IDPs were injured and taken to the military hospital in the occupied city of Afrin.

Our reporter added that residents of al-Ashrafieh neighborhood caught an IDP from Ghouta tying up stray dogs and slaughtering them for sale in Afrin. They handed him over to the military police militia, where he admitted to slaughtering 24 dogs at the time of his arrest.
