afrinpost – Exclusive

A private source in the city of Harem, in Idlib countryside, on the Syrian-Turkish border, reported that the Turkish Border Forces (Gendarmerie) dumped the body of the young man, “Muhammad Hasan Shrouf,” from the people of Qastal in the Hama countryside, near the Harem city forest, and fired live bullets at the people to prevent his body from being retrieved for the second day in a row.

The source indicated that the young man entered Turkey by smuggling in an attempt to travel to Europe, but the Turkish gendarmerie managed to arrest him at a distance of one kilometer inside Turkish territory, and they tortured him for about 11 hours continuously, before a soldier from the Turkish gendarmerie shot him in the head, kept his body for a whole day, and then dumped it in the forests of Harem.

The source added that the young man’s family protested today, Tuesday, in front of the Bab al-Hawa crossing, demanding that the Turkish forces hand them over the body of their son, amid appeals for the intervention of the “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham” organization to mediate with them.

The number of those killed by the Turkish border guards (Gendarmerie) until March 14 reached 556 Syrians, including (103 underage children, and 67 women). According to the Violations Documentation Center, the number of those injured by the Turkish border forces reached 2,295 people who tried to cross the border, or were residents of the Syrian border villages and towns, or farmers and owners of lands adjacent to the border.
