According to local sources, on March 21, armed members of the group led by “Abu Asaad” belonging to the militia “Faylaq al-Sham” attacked and brutally beat members of the family of “Akash Ahmed Qenber” from the village of Arbeliye/Arabliye in the Meydana area in the countryside of Rajo district in the occupied Afrin province, on the pretext of targeting a displaced woman loyal to the militias.
Details revealed that a displaced woman attempted to rob the house of citizen “Akash Qenber” on the same day, and when she was caught, she left without saying a word. Later that evening, two armed militants stormed the house and began to beat “Akash Qenber” (65 years old), his wife Suad (60 years old), and his son “Sherif” (32 years old) brutally under gunpoint, causing serious injuries. They only stopped after their neighbor, a shepherd from Tadmur, intervened. After their withdrawal, they filed a complaint against the family with the security forces of the “Faylaq al-Sham” militia, accusing them of targeting one of their women.
On the second day, the security forces of the “Faylaq al-Sham” militia summoned citizen “Akash” and his son “Sherif”, who were bedridden due to their injuries focused on the head area. Akash went and protested, but the two officials “Abu Noor and Abu Jihad” warned him against objection and threatened to arrest his son “Sherif” unless the militants were transferred from the village to resolve the conflict.
Sources added that members of the “Abu Asaad” group had previously assaulted the citizen “Saeed Mohammed Qenber” from the people of the village of Meydan Aqabes in Rajo district, accused of harassing one of the displaced women, after Saeed planted several hectares of agricultural land and attempted to prevent the leaders of the “Faylaq al-Sham” from expelling him.
“Abu Asaad” is from Kafr Kalbeen in the Azaz area and has seized several houses, including the villa of citizen “Sherif Sino,” and committed many violations against the people in the Rajo district. However, after the “Hayat Tahrir al-Sham” organization took control of Afrin and its villages, he became cautious in his movements.
