Our reporter in Afrin said that some armed elements who were affiliated with the assassinated leader “Abu Wakeel Al-Hamwi”, one of the leaders of the “al-Jabha al-Shamiya” militia, joined the military police militia under the control of “Ahmed Kabso Abu Jamaal” in Afrin to avoid being arrested by the “Hayat Tahrir al-Sham” organization.
Members of the “al-Jabha al-Shamiya” and “Jaish al-Islam” militias, who are disguised as civilians, are being pursued by the security forces belonging to the “Hayat Tahrir al-Sham” group. Meanwhile, a former leader of “al-Jabha al-Shamiya”, known as “Abu Jamaal”, had pledged allegiance to the terrorist organization “HTS”. Upon his return to the city of Afrin, he was appointed as the head of the Military Police militia.
On the other hand, members of “al-Jabha al-Shamiya” were promised a salary of $200 after being expelled from the Afrin region by “Hayat Tahrir al-Sham”. However, they only received a one-time payment of 1,000 Turkish liras, causing dissatisfaction and frustration among them.
