A displaced person from the Eastern Ghouta in the Damascus countryside, who was brought in by Turkey, was killed and others were seriously injured on Friday due to violent clashes between two families over a tent in the village of Zaara in the Bulbul district of occupied Afrin.
According to our reporter: “a fight broke out between the Al-Abadi family and the Al-Harbiyat family, both originating from the town of Al-Zamaniyah in the Eastern Ghouta, and living in the village of Zaara in the Bulbul district. The dispute was over setting up a tent, which escalated into intense gunfire exchange, resulting in the death of “Ali Saleem,” also known as “Abu Odai,” and the injury of three others, who were taken to a hospital in Afrin.
The reporter pointed out that after the two families had set up 30 tents and began to set up another tent, two of them disagreed and began firing, gathering their armed relatives who are affiliated with the Turkish-backed militias before the military police intervened to break up the clash.
Two IDPs from Hama were also injured by gunfire due to their dispute over reserving a spot for a tent near the Saleh Al-Ali school in the occupied city of Afrin.
It is worth noting that some IDPs residing in the occupied city of Afrin are selling the homes they occupied from their original Kurdish inhabitants and moving to newly established camps on the outskirts of the city to receive aid and assistance provided by relief organizations.
Relief organizations have started distributing aid to earthquake victims themselves after revealing the involvement of the local council in Afrin in stealing aid and tents and selling them to traders. Meanwhile, the affected Kurdish families in the city of Jindires are living without a shelter due to the control of Turkish-affiliated militias over the aid, which are distributed for their families and IDPs loyal to them only.
