Sources from inside the city of Afrin reported to afrinpost that Yesterday morning, Saturday, January 28, a Turkish military armored vehicle ran over two people who were riding a motorcycle, on the second highway (the diesel highway) in the occupied city of Afrin.
The sources said that the Turkish armored vehicle killed two people (unidentified yet) amid secrecy from the Turkish intelligence and the civic police militia side in the city of Afrin, where the latter transported the two bodies to an unknown location.
The incident is not the first of its kind, as a number of civilians died and others were injured in repeated run-over incidents by Turkish armored vehicles in the occupied Afrin region, without the Turkish authorities taking measures to deter the soldiers’ recklessness or protect the residents of the region.
On June 20, 2022, the citizen “Rashid Subhi Mahmoud” (Mihik) (44 years old) was killed, after he was deliberately run over by a Turkish military armored vehicle in the middle of the market of the town of Rajo in the northern countryside of Afrin.
