A military convoy belonging to the “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham” organization entered on January 28, the Turkish-cotrolled areas in northern Syria, distributed between the cities of Afrin and Jarabulus, at a time when a number of militants and leaders of the “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya” militia returned to the city of Afrin under the guise of the military police militia.

Our reporter in Afrin stated that a number of the jihadist group (HTS) members settled in their security headquarter (former headquarters of Nidal Al-Bayanouni, the leader of the “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyya” militia) in Al-Ashrafieh neighborhood, while the other members headed to the city of Jarabulus.

On the other hand, after the so-called “Ahmed Kabso Abu Jamal,” the former leader of the “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyya” militia, becoming the head of the Military Police in Afrin, a number of members and leaders affiliated with the “Al-Shamiya” militia returned to Afrin, wearing uniforms of the Military Police Militia, the reporter confirmed.

Among them are the two leaders called “Walid Kadour” from Kafr Mazzeh, and the so-called “Abu Ali al-Sheikh,” who began threatening the people who managed to recover their stolen and seized property, and demanded that the IDPs to pay them rents of the seized houses that they controlled before fleeing from Afrin.

Private sources indicated that the so-called “Ahmed Kabso” (former leader in the “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyya” militia), assumed his duties as head of the Military Police militia in Afrin after paying bribes amounting to 150 thousand dollars to ensure that he would not be arrested by the “Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham” organization.
