Ongoing illegal logging and sale of seized properties in Afrin

The illegal logging operations and cutting down olive trees continue in Afrin, to be sold in the city markets in addition to Idlib and Darat Izza. As well as, the illegal sale of the seized homes of the original Kurdish residents of Afrin by the armed men and IDPs loyal to Turkey continues on a daily basis.

Our reporter in Afrin stated that gunmen from the “Rijal AL-Harb” militia cut down 20 olive trees belonging to the citizen “Nidal Sheikh Musa” from his field located between the villages of Khalilaka and Meydana in Rajo district in the occupied countryside of Afrin.

In the same context, the militants of the “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” continue to cut down cypress trees on the road to the village of Khalnera, near Afrin city.

On the other hand, an IDP from Ghouta Damascus, called “Muhammad Odeh,” sold a house he seized from of “Muhammad Hamid,”, who lives in Al-Mahmoudiyah neighborhood near the diesel highway in Afrin, to another IDP from Palmyra for $1,200, the reporter added.
