According to reports from local sources, gunmen belonging to the Turkish-backed “Faylaq Al-Sham” militia cut down 25 fruitful almond trees in a field owned by the Kurdish civilian “Nuri Ahmed Musa” from the village of Chaqmaqa (Al-Sawan Al-Kabir) of Raju district, in Afrin countryside.
The sources pointed out that the targeted field is located in the area separating the villages of Chanchaliya and Chaqmaqa.
Knowing that the pro-Anqara “Faylaq Al-Sham” militia owns a number of workshops for producing coal in the mountains of Raju district, the most prominent of which is the one at the Alamdar village junction, where the militia assigned the workshops to log forest and olive trees, which leads to a frightening reduction in the green areas and deforestation in that area.
